Microfluidics Expert - Biotechnology R&D - Cambridge

A biotechnology innovator in Cambridge is looking for senior physicist/microfluidics expert to lead the development of their brand-new instrumentation technology.

Because of the nature of the work and the culture of the business we are looking for people who love solving complex engineering problems and who have a passion for life-improving technology.

As the physics and microfluidics subject matter expert you will be using your expertise to develop custom-made fluidic systems, taking it from initial ideation, through the entire development life cycle. This is very much a hands-on role where you can make a real difference with your work.

This will include;

  • The design, modelling, experimentation, and development of novel microfluidic systems
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists at the intersection of science and engineering.
  • Solving highly complex applied physics problems around fluid mechanics and fluid dynamics.

To be considered for this exciting new role we are looking for a physics expert who has experience with fluidics, either in an industrial setting or someone who has recently completed a relevant PhD. This will need to be backed up by solid academics and an open mind that loves solving problems.

The company are offering excellent base salaries with a comprehensive benefits package that includes share options and performance bonus.
