Administrator – Scientific/Medical

Location: Acton, NW London

Salary: £25,000

Hours: Permanent role, Mon-Fri (9am-5.30pm)

Working for a Medical/Clinical organisation, our client supplies biologic reagents to customers worldwide. Their products support researchers in the development of new medicines and provide an essential role in the development of human health. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as they move into new larger premises and up-scale the capacity and capabilities of the clinic in addition to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation with offices worldwide.

Working from their donor clinic in NW London, this role will involve a range of administrative and assistant duties associated with a range of tasks to log/track samples, provide certification to customers and support other office duties associated with the running of a busy clinic. The organisation have built a strong reputation for providing a high quality, fast-turnaround products and services and they are looking for a customers focused administrator who can help them continue to build on the global reputation they have built as a leading supplier to the Pharma & biotech research sectors.

The role would suit an experienced and enthusiastic administrator who is confident in a range of office administration duties and ideally has a background dealing with or working for a medical, clinical or laboratory associated business.

Specific duties will include:

  • Dealing with general enquiries from customers and donors
  • Generating documentation/certificates of products for customers
  • Supporting logistics in the shipment of products
  • Providing customers with an clear information on delivery of products and an issues associated with supply/delays
  • Work with colleagues and other departments to provide data/information for the generation of reports and management information
  • Provide some administration support to finance/logistics
  • Keep all relevant database and documentation files up to date in line with standard operating procedures
  • Keep aware of product and stock level and liaise with suppliers where necessary to order new stock
  • Follow all procedure to ensure compliance with quality systems (ISO9000 and HTA)

The successful candidate will be:

  • An experienced administrator, ideally having worked in a Medical, hospital, clinical or laboratory environment
  • Excellent organisation skills, a proactive worker who takes pride in their work and has a passion for delivering the highest quality of work and services to colleagues and customers
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  • IT literate with experience of working with database and/or ERP systems
  • Able to work under pressure, can deal with tight timescales and rapid turnaround services
