Two-year Post-Doc Physicist - Cambridge - Applied Physical Sciences or Materials Sciences
A Scientific Engineering company who invests in start-up organisations are currently looking for a Two-Year Post-Doc Physicist to help with their Applied Physical Sciences and Materials Sciences approach to new unique technologies. Based in Cambridge, you will be working on novel and cutting-edge technologies that will improve the sector for years to come.
You will be providing a scientific approach, specifically from a material sciences point of view. Ideally your focus could have been on electronic materials, electronic devices, material science, energy materials or functional materials. In this role you will be working alongside engineers, physicists and other technology experts who can help with this development.
It is expected that you will have an applied sciences or materials sciences background from either academia or from within industry.
It is expected that you would hold a Physics or Materials degree or Chemistry PhD from a leading university.
This company will provide you with exceptional laboratories and resources to be successful in this role. Although the funding is only signed off for two-years, it may be possible to extend this at the end of the Post-Doc, depending upon success of start-ups you have assisted with. Even if the role does not get extended, it would be good industry experience that will help with future roles as a lot of companies specifically look for industry experience over academic experience.
Apart from this, you will be rewarded with an excellent starting salary and benefits package.
I'm expecting a lot of interest in this role, so if you are interested, I'd suggest making an application now or risk missing out.
