An innovative start-up has an exciting opportunity for a Bioinformatician to join its Cell Biology team. You will work in close collaboration with bench scientists, contributing to the design of CRISPR experiments, analyse genomic and transcriptomics data and develop new bioinformatics pipelines to support the R&D programme. You will have a PhD in Computational Biology or related field or MSc with equivalent follow-on experience with extensive experience in analysing and interpreting genomic, NGS or other omics data sets.

Responsibilities

As a bioinformatician you will play a key role to tackle challenging biological questions. You will work in close collaboration with bench scientists, contributing to the design of CRISPR experiments, analyse genomic and transcriptomics data and develop new bioinformatics pipelines to support our R&D programme and delivery of company-wide milestones.

  • Develop and implement computational biology tools and software to support gene editing and research activities
  • Analyse public databases to identify novel candidate genes to inform in-house experiments and review relevant literature to build strong scientific cases
