Paramount Recruitment are working with a leading player in the drug discovery field who are looking for a key member of their Compound Management team in Southern France. We are excited to look for someone who can bring fresh ideas, innovation and strategic vision!

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Manage a compound management team and develop collaborators
*Ensure the management of activities (management, preparation and distribution of compounds as part of the team's activities)
*Follow the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the team
*Manage cross-functional interactions within the framework of activities related to the chemical library with other departments within the company
*Manage the customer relationship as part of the management of a project
*Contribute or lead continuous improvement projects, which can benefit from the tools of the lean methodology.
*Carry out its activities in compliance with applicable quality procedures, as well as in compliance with applicable health, safety, security and environmental rules.
*Ensure the respect of the contract engagement related to key deliverables / milestones delivery, internal and external resources, budget and timelines, while ensuring high scientific quality
*Lead the project team
*Manage the internal communication (reporting) and external communication -relationship with client-related to the project, in relation with business development and alliance management when appropriate
Experience and attributes:
*PhD or Master's degree in Life Sciences or similar, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
*Must have a professional working level of both French and English
*Comfortable with successfully managing a team, internal and external stakeholders as well as multiple scientific projects at any given time
*A great communicator with the ability to develop meaningful customer relationships
*Good knowledge of laboratory automation, high throughput screening, data management and informatics tools (Mosaic) would be advantageous
