We have an exciting opportunity for an Product Development Technician to join a growing company. You will have the opportunity to lead the Research & Development for a wide range of raw materials used to supply various industries such as cosmetics pharmaceuticals automotive and coatings. You will hold a degree in chemistry (or related subject) and ideally have some previous R&D lab experience. Due to the location of this site you must have your own transport.
Duties
- New product research and development
- Quality control inspection of incoming raw materials
- In-progress testing of blends and finished products
- Quality control inspection of outgoing products
- Documentation and analysis of results
- Presentation of results to colleagues and clients
- Acting as technical lead when liaising with clients
Qualifications/Requirements
* BSc (Hons) in Chemistry or related subject preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
* Laboratory experience; any experience in formulation or R&D would be advantageous but not essential as all training will be given.
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
