Quality Officer

Staffordshire   •  Permanent, Full time


CK Group is recruiting for a Quality Officer to join an adhesives manufacturing company based in Staffordshire, on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary of between 25,000- 35,000 DOE.

Responsibilities of this Quality Officer will include:
- To ensure that process controls are suitable and sufficient to deliver repeatable product quality
- To ensure that new processes are assessed for risks to product quality, including the threat of micro-biological contamination, and that process controls are put in place before production commences
- To ensure that customer complaints and customer requests for quality information are dealt with promptly
- To ensure suitable control of non saleable stock both on site and at the off site warehouse
- To ensure there is sufficient quality team resource to meet changing regulatory and in house testing requirements
- To ensure that the necessary test equipment is available in both the QA Laboratory and the satellite in process testing laboratories
- To ensure that testing standards are maintained through training and refresher training for in process testers
- To monitor that process controls are sufficient and being followed for the key processes
- Ensures that Operations Managers have the appropriate work instructions to support the processes within their area
- To reduce the cost of quality ( NQI ) by reducing the number of after sales complaints and by reducing the amount of any non saleable stock that is created by each process
- To contribute to the development of processes and systems by identifying areas for investment and by putting forward capital proposals
- To contribute to staff development through the provision of training in quality related matters
- Ensures that management of change considers the impact on product quality
- To ensure that the Company\'s ISO9001, IATF16949 and BBA quality management systems are understood, implemented and applied, across the Stafford site - Acts as the Automotive quality standard specialist within the business ensuring that any additional requirement is understood, implemented and maintained

You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- The position calls for an individual of graduate calibre, ideally with a background in Chemistry
- Experience in applying quality management systems within a similar manufacturing organisation : at least 5 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, lead and adapt to change showing interpersonal skills in line with the company values.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- The role holder must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels of the Organisation
