Do you have a proven background in Bioconjugation? Do you have experience of managing research projects to support customers and external stakeholders?

SRG is thrilled to be supporting one of our Biotechnology clients, who provide a comprehensive range of technical solutions from early discovery to drug development. They work with clients from biotech, large pharma and academia, supporting the development and manufacturing of more effective patient treatments. Joining their Bioconjugation Chemistry team, you will be responsible for managing and progressing a number of client projects, providing technical expertise, while managing a small team of supporting scientists.

As Project Leader you will provide conjugation solutions to antibody drug conjugates (ADC), oligonucleotides conjugate, PEGylation and other conjugate development projects. Using a variety of established methods, you will play a critical role in the design, synthesis and production of candidates for lead candidate selection.

Ideal candidates will hold a PhD / MSc or equivalent in Chemistry/Protein Biochemistry or a related field, with proven laboratory experience in Bioconjugation, gained within a Biotechnology or Contract Research Organisation. An in-depth knowledge and understanding with Bioconjugation of small molecules (Cytotoxic drugs, fluorescent labels, oligonucleotides) is essential. In addition, candidates must demonstrate skills in UV-Vis spectrophotometry, microfluidics and LC-MS.

Experience of managing and supervising colleagues is also required. Experience of working with customers to communicate technical findings to build strong partnerships is essential. Candidates must also demonstrate effective planning and project management skills and have the ability to work to strict deadlines to resolve routine and complex solutions.

In return our client can offer an excellent job with project variety, an opportunity to network with professionals across the sector and the platform to engage directly with customers to offer technical expertise.
