Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Leamington Spa
The UK is increasing its capacity for Covid-19 testing and has opened new labs in order to process these samples. I am recruiting for Data Scientists with experience working in a laboratory setting who want to help make a difference in the current situation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in data science. The role is being offered on an 18-month contract basis with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities:
-Analysing sample data
-Tracking and recording using a LIMS database
-Processing large data sets
-Identifying anomalous results
-Managing the flow of data out of the laboratories
Requirements:
-A minimum of a BSc in a relevant discipline
-Experience within a laboratory environment
-Experience processing large scientific data sets
-Knowledge of diagnostic tests, ideally PCR
-Experience using databases and data analysis tools
