Fluidic Systems Mechanical Engineer - Scale-Up Company - Cambridge

A Cambridge based Fluidic Systems company are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has knowledge of working on Fluidic Systems.

The company is currently going through a scale-up process which has resulted in a number of new roles being needed in the business, including this Fluidic Systems Mechanical Engineer role.

In the current climate, job security is as important as it has ever been and due to the funding, this company has, the job security for this role is better than the majority of roles in the sector.

The Fluidic System that is being developed will be implemented in a number of sectors so we are open to someone who has worked as a Mechanical Engineer, on Fluidic Systems, from sectors such as Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Ink-Jet, Aerospace, Automotive, Defence or other fields that have resulted in you working on the mechanical design of fluidic systems.

It would be advantageous if you will have worked on cartridge based fluidic systems, but it is not essential. Also, any microfluidics knowledge would be a benefit, be again not essential. It is essentially that your designs, in the past, have been taken through to manufacture.

We are ideally looking for someone who wants to and enjoys taking their designs through to being produced, working closely with R&D teams and with production/manufacturing/prototyping teams. This could be for one offs, low-volume, or high-volume fluidic devices.

Your design work will be using SolidWorks, so past experience of this will be ideal however, other 3D CAD software would be considered if you have a proven record of learning quickly.

You will be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, pension, shares scheme, life assurance, medical insurance and other excellent benefits you would normally expect with a larger blue-chip company.

I am expecting a lot of interest in this role and for interviews to happen quickly, so if you are interested, I suggest making an application immediately or risk missing out.
