Reporting line: VP of Clinical Communications
Location: Office based from either Uxbridge or Littlehampton or can be fully home based but be able to get to the Littlehampton office 1-2 times a month after you’re established.
An International Multinational CRO have urgently reached out to CPL this week looking to hire a Digital Engagement Director. The hired candidate will be responsible for the successful service line delivery and long-term growth of Digital Engagement.
You will have a solid in-depth knowledge of the digital landscape and the ability to be creative in the design of innovative solutions that meet client’s needs. This will be done through a comprehensive understanding of MedCom’s offerings, processes, clients, and the healthcare industry. Furthermore, you be responsible for leading the development of innovative and effective digital offerings and developing new business strategies and novel solutions for clients.

A new role that will allow for a lot of strategy and shaping of the role. Natural career progression would see this go to Senior Director.
You will be part of the Global MedComs group, consists of approx. 300 - 350 people in this area worldwide across UK, India, US and now China.
You will be part of the CCMEE & Digital Media (Clinical Communications, Meeting, Editorial Services department) which consists of approx. 70 people.
You will be accountable for the successful of service line delivery and long-term growth of Digital Engagement.
You will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the digital landscape and be creative in the design of innovative solutions that meet client’s needs
You will lead the development of our innovative and effective digital offerings and be responsible for developing and supporting new business strategies and novel solutions for our clients.
Key management and leadership role and will provide strategic, operational, leadership, management, and direction to the group.
Will be managing a team of 4 (1 direct report, 3 indirect reports)
Previous CRO / Pharma Communications or Medical Communications agency experience is essential.
Must be happy to work in a corporate environment.
Must have strong previous Client Digital experience working with pharma, healthcare, biotech, medical devices clients
Client facing experience and solution focused approach with strong communication skills are a must.
Ideally will have Director level experience or be a very seasoned manager (5 yrs plus experience as Sr Manager) looking for that next step up. Must have at least 3-5 years full line management experience of a small to medium team (3-5 people plus).
Strong business development / account management skills and interest – be able to demonstrate growing small to large accounts over the long term.
Consultative mentality and be able to consult clients through phases of product development and develop new service offerings
