Quality Control Manager - Medical Devices

CK Science are recruiting for a Quality Control Manager to work within a laboratory environment for a rapidly growing research and development company. The Quality Control Manager will initially be based at the company\'s manufacturing site near Stirling, then will eventually be based at a new site in North Lanarkshire. Please note that some travel between the two sites will be required. This role is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday.

The Company:
Our client is a medical technology company developing, manufacturing and marketing smart connected diagnostics and diagnostic-led care solutions.

QC Manager Role:
You will report to the Operations Director and will be responsible for running the Quality Control function to ensure all system performance meets required specifications, including line management responsibilities for the QC Team Leader. As an integral part of the operations team, you will also be responsible for implementation, validation and improvement of product release test methods for the key system components.

Your main duties will be to:
·Review and improve existing QC test methods and release procedures.
·Ensure effective New Product Transfer from R&D into QC.
·Develop a system for trending and reporting of product performance data.
·Ensure sufficient capacity (people, materials, equipment) for QC is available to meet business needs.
·Lead continuous improvement activities to improve performance and reduce Cost of Goods.
·Ensure adherence to GxP and relevant regulatory standards including ISO13485, FDA 21CFR Part 820
·Create a working environment which acknowledges and pro-actively supports compliance with GxP.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
·Proven Track record of people management and development - essential
·Background in Science or Engineering (ideally degree qualified)
·Industrial experience of working in a QC environment within the medical devices sector - essential
·Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of statistics
·Able to demonstrate an in-depth experience of product calibration would be beneficial
·Green Belt Certified would be advantageous
