Computational Biologist - Biotech R&D - Cambridge

An up-and-coming biotechnology company in Cambridge are looking for a senior computational biologist to join the team.

In this exciting new role, you will be developing complex bioinformatics and machine learning algorithms that will have a direct effect on the company's future research and development programmes and current products, which are the perfect blend between science and engineering.

You will be utilising your computational biology expertise to gather user requirements, define system functionality and writing code in Python. The successful candidate will need to be highly self-sufficient in the execution of their duties, taking responsibility for areas of functionality, whilst also benefiting from a supportive and forward-thinking working environment.

We are looking for scientists who have developed code in Python coupled with experience in the bioinformatics field. This will be complemented by a computer science degree or equivalent and knowledge of applying machine learning techniques.
