Position: Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Medicine

Scientific Professionals are currently looking for a Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Medicine for a leading research-based Pharmaceutical organisation. The successful applicant will be leading clinical pharmacology activities in the development of innovative drugs within the neuroscience portfolio. As a Director, this person will be providing the direction, planning and execution of clinical pharmacology programmes as provide expert guidance to the team.
Drive the development of the clinical pharmacology strategy for small and large molecules in drug development, as well as provide scientific leadership on the strategy to cross-functional teams
Define and achieve the programme goals within agreed timeframes
Design and implement studies to allow for innovative clinical development strategies
Lead the integration of PK/PD and PGx activities in the clinical pharmacology programmes
Serve as the Study Director and lead execution of concept to final report, including interpretation of clinical data
Lead clinical pharmacology contributions to regulatory documentation and provide guidance where necessary
Provide recommendations for dosing and algorithms to project teams
Maintain a scientific awareness and scientific network to help keep on the cutting edge of knowledge
PhD in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics or Pharmacometrics, or related.
Experience in interaction with regulatory agencies, CROs and external partners
Experience in Neuroscience and Translational Sciences is highly desirable
Must have been directly involved with successful major regulatory filings
