Project Manager - Genomics, Precision Medicine
One of the country's leading Genomics companies is expanding their commercial ventures in the field of precision medicine and is looking to bring on a talented, experienced Project Manager to support with coordinating scientific and product related activities. The company is founded by leading experts in genetics, they are exceptionally well funded and have offices based in both Cambridge and Oxford. This position can be based at either office location.
This position will play a key role in the development and deployment of cutting edge precision health and genetic products, in both research and commercial settings across the UK, US and Internationally. The Project Manager will play a pivotal part in the precision health product department, working closely with colleagues across all departments including Scientists, Software engineering, Quality, Compliance & Legal. Other responsibilities will include liaising and building relationships with external collaborators and customers from the scientific, pharmaceutical & healthcare industries.
Responsibilities may include:
*Management of day-to-day operational aspects of multiple research and commercial precision health projects and deliver successful outcomes within scope, budget and time.
*Establish project management methodology; draft relevant study, research ethics and CRO protocols; and ensure that project standards are achieved.
*Work with the product and scientific teams to design and execute project work plans, clearly communicate project requirements and progress to relevant stakeholders.
*Facilitate and document teleconferences and face-to-face internal and external meetings as well as tracking, managing and resolving arising actions, issues and conflicts.
*Provide any additional support needed by the Precision Health product teams in response to business needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
*3+ years of project management experience, successfully supporting cross-functional teams in a scientific environment, preferably related to healthcare or genomics.
*A scientific background, with a strong understanding of genetics and/or precision medicine
*A PhD, ideally in a related discipline (eg, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Genetics Counselling or similar).
*First-hand experience of working in the pharmaceutical/ biotech/medical device industry would be advantageous
*Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, working with internal and external stakeholders and clients, and translating complex projects into tasks and dependencies.
*Excellent time management and organisational skills, and experience in delivering to strict deadlines with a high degree of independence.
*A clear and concise communication style (oral and written), with the ability to compile reports and present to a wide range of audiences.
*Experience of using remote collaboration tools and digital project management software (e.g. Zoom, Slack, Trello, Asana, Jira, or similar).
*Passionate about precision healthcare and innovations with medicine
