Engineering Physicist - Optics and Sensors - Cambridge



An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physicist to join a new team in Cambridge to work cutting-edge and innovative optical technologies.



As an Engineering Physicist, you will take a hands-on approach to a variety of roles including the design, fabrication and test of complex systems and applications.



You will be utilising your physics knowledge and first-principles experience to design the systems and devices as well as completing detailed engineering analysis and running laboratory experiments on your innovations. This will include running computational models as well as theoretical experiments.



Because of this we are looking for physicists with a passion for solving highly complex problems on leading edge technology and who enjoy hands-on R&D.

To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have hands-on R&D experience within a complex field, ideally with exposure to optics, electromagnetics or fluidics. It is expected that you will be proficient with MATLAB and python. This will need to stem from a strong academic record in physics.
