Modelling Engineer - Fluidics & Mechanics - Cambridge
A fast-growing and highly regarded technology firm based in Cambridge are looking for an experienced Modelling Engineer to take the lead on fluidic and mechanics-based simulation projects.

This role will also provide the modelling engineer with the freedom to flourish and manage their own projects as well as providing merit-based promotions and bonuses.
This hands-on R&D role will be mainly focused on design models and simulations to test a variety of different parameters on multiple projects. You will be charged with the design, testing and evaluation of the model and to draw meaningful conclusions from often data-rich results. This will involve using your pen-and-paper maths and physics skills as well as using your computational experience in COMSOL or OpenFoam.
You will also be charged with managing the simulation tools across the business and running tutorials for your fellow engineers.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have solid understanding of modelling and simulation coupled with a strong academic background. Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and some exposure to OpenFoam. Ideally you will have experience with both fluidics and mechanics but we are considering people from different backgrounds, as long as there is experience with simulation tools in a highly complex sector.
