Senior Electronics Innovator - Oil & Energy - Cambridge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior Electronics Engineer to join a renowned oil and energy technology company in Cambridge to lead on highly complex R&D projects.
As a Senior Electronics Innovator/Engineer you will be charged with leading a team of engineers and research into new areas of technology, including utilising existing IP into new areas as well as developing brand-new solutions to highly complex engineering problems.
Your work will be at the front end of innovation and will encompass technical authority of projects. Although this role does encompass management you will not be expected to leave your hands-on skills at home, so this role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading from the front.
You will be designing instruments and monitoring systems for harsh environments, aimed making the exploration and production of oil and gas more accurate, efficient and safer.
The Electronics Innovator will be working closely with senior figures within the company to understand market trends and analysis as well as complex issues such as manufacturing and future technology roadmapping.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have significant electronics design experience with hands-on development knowledge coupled with a strong commercial outlook. This will be coupled with an impressive academic record and experience with developing the next generation of engineers, ideally.
