VP of Business Development - Agritech - Cambridge
A world-renowned innovator of AI and robotics solutions to the agriculture sector are looking for a VP of Business Development to head up their commercial team.
As the VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for the identification, strategy and ongoing development of potential clients within the company's key markets. You will take ownership on establishing and developing key commercial relationships as well as leading all marketing activities and contract negotiations on a global scale.
You will be liaising with other senior members in both the US and the Far East to establish new strategies and strengthen existing avenues to ensure that the company's exemplary reputation is upheld and their position within the marketplace is maintained. This role will place an emphasis on client development and maturing relationships with the aim of winning repeat business.
Some of the technologies you will be working with include automated robotic systems, computer vision applications for UAVs and data capture and analysis from in-field connected devices.
This is not a standard sales role. You will be involved throughout the client project; from initial concept through to delivery.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have significant business development or account management experience coupled with hands-on research and development experience. This will be backed up with a strong academic record and a passion for delivering R&D projects that aim to break new ground.
