Biophysicist - Cambridge - Life Sciences

A Life Sciences company, based in Cambridgeshire, are currently looking for a Biophysicist to work on a number of technology development projects in the life sciences and medical devices fields.

This is a very unique role that will challenge your physics and biology knowledge on areas of technology development where physics and biology meet. As a Biophysicist, you will work on life sciences sensor technologies, medical devices microfluidics, bio-printing, diagnostic systems and other exciting technologies where you will work on the unique problems you only come across when you are combining engineering and science.

It is expected that you would hold a PhD from a relevant Biophysics or Life Sciences fields. Ideally, we are looking for people who have industry experience already however we are open to people who are recent PhD graduates, due to the unique nature of this work.

This role will suite someone who has good mind for problem-solving and often we look for people who have a hobby that showcases this. If you do have technical problem-solving hobby, please make it clear on your CV as it will improve your chances of success.

Your curiosity will help you drive forward in the creation of new technologies that will life-save and life-improve for people all around the world. A creative and industry focused mind-set will also be useful.

Collaborating with other people within and outside of the business is essential, so you will ideally be able to present and take questions on your ideas within groups, via email and on a one-to-one basis.

Some of the projects may involve you acting as a project manager, although it is not essential any experience of leading projects or acting as a project manager will be welcome.
