QC Analyst

Kent   •  £23000 - £27000 per annum  •  Permanent, Full time

An established pharmaceutical company is seeking a QC Analyst to join its finished product team. You will be responsible for the quality control testing of finished products, to internal GMP guidelines. As QC Analyst, you will have prior chemistry QC experience within another pharmaceutical environment. This must include both analytical and wet chemistry techniques.

The role:

The role will be responsible for the quality control testing of finished products, to internal GMP guidelines and you will be expected to respond to internal customer queries and work with other team members to provide flexible cover, as and when required.

QC Analyst Responsibilities:

* Carry out sampling and testing of finished products against the agreed current specifications
* Work to GMP guidelines, generating traceable results and records
* Check and act as a countersignature to raw data and results obtained by other technicians in the team
* Enter raw data and results generated into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
* Ensure the required sample data is correctly entered into the appropriate documents for the purpose of QC metrics
* To follow global, company and departmental SOP's, where appropriate
* Perform calibration tests on laboratory equipment, where required
* Ensuring the work area is maintained to the required standard of 5S housekeeping

Qualifications and Experience:

* A degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)
* Experience of working in an Analytical laboratory (essential)
* Experience of Traditional Wet Chemistry and Analytical methods (essential) Experience of working in a Pharmaceutical or Chemical Quality Control Laboratory
* ISO and GLP or GMP experience Hands on experience using Wet Chemistry techniques and analytical methods, including UV, IR, GC and NIR
* Experience of sampling techniques and methods
* Willingness to work shifts (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm if required)

£23k-£27k (shift allowance included)
