Associate Medical Writer - Entry Role PhD - London
A great opportunity has arisen for a Phd / Post-doctoral Scientist, who is keen to pursue a career in medical writing, to join a leading healthcare agency based in London. The agency covers an exciting pipeline of projects and they have a global reach. It's a fantastic time to be joining them as they plan an office move next year to accommodate new business wins and growth!
As an Associate Medical Writer you will report into a Senior Medical Writer, and you will work across a range of deliverables and many therapeutic areas. Writers are client facing so there will be opportunities to attend meetings and events. Key responsibilities:
-Develop scientific content that meets the client's needs. Content will include publications, events, meetings, slide decks, internal training materials and posters.
-Develop relationships with clients and industry professionals.
-Work with top global pharmaceutical companies.
-Made amendments to material after reviews.
-Carry out literature searches and use reference management tools
This is a fantastic opportunity as the agency will offer plenty of on-the-job training and support to develop your career as a writer. The team are a social bunch and really collaborative.
-PhD in life sciences
-Post-doctoral experience would be highly regarded but isn't essential.
-Evidence of strong scientific communication abilities- papers, abstracts, presentations, online content etc
-Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and perhaps some disease/therapy areas
-A 'can do', proactive and collaborative nature
