SRG is working with a small, but very well established company producing a wide variety of adhesive products for a range of industrial applications. As a result of their continued success they are looking to hire a QC Technician to join their technical team in the laboratory. The role would be suitable for an individual who has some industrial laboratory experience, or a graduate with an interest in QC testing, looking for their first or second role. Working alongside a more senior chemist and Technical Manager, you can expect to enjoy a varied role which offers long term opportunity to develop more skills. The company are open to take an experienced QC Technician regardless of education or a graduate requiring training. If you are looking for a nice, but busy role in a genuinely friendly company, but are not necessarily looking for career advancement, this could be the role for you.

To work in a small, busy laboratory team undertaking the full range of QC testing on in process and finished products.
Working in a lab team of four you will be running a variety of physical quality control tests including, but not limited to:
* Viscosity using Brookfield viscometer
* Evaporation testing
* Draw down
* Cure rates
The role will require you to accurately record all data and be able to talk around findings. You will liaise regularly with other lab team members and also the production teams. You must be confident to talk to people from all walks of life and if necessary, stop product going out to customers if it is outside of QC minimum standards. This is a small company and as such there may be other ad hoc tasks as required by the technical team, including from time to time, support with product mixing and development.
* Relevant science qualification or experience
* Industrial laboratory experience preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
* Good time management skills
* Well organised
* Able to multi task
* Takes ownership of tasks
