Sales Manager - Healthcare equipment to Microbiology Labs
Covering the North UK as a our client is offering an opportunity to join a growing and leading brand. Offering biotechnology and healthcare products to the industry, the company has a rich history offering clinical diagnostic products to the market. Make no mistake, this is a distribution company but one that is unique in the service and after care it offers its customers. In addition, this is a chance to work with an organisation that focuses on development of it's staff and extends this out to their customers with a strong after-care service for the products they offer to the market. They seek a driven and proven sales professional that has a rich background within Sales, Quality Control and/or Microbiology.
Your responsibilities will be to engage in cold calling to develop business in the North part of the UK. This will be for the Bio-technologies area targeting Quality Control / Quality Assurance departments. This could be supporting the purchasing of products related to Microbiology as well as other areas.
This position will be to drive growth and therefore targeting new customers, promoting the product portfolio as well as training customers on the usage of the products is paramount to your responsibilities. This is an opportunity to be involved in a 360 degree role.
Customers and clients will range from Biotech companies, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare companies as well as Research and Development facilities and the NHS.
Part of the position will be to work closely with the UK Sales Manager who has a proven track record in this area of Sales and a wide network. The Sales Manager will work closely with you to develop your knowledge and share his/her knowledge with you. In addition, it is to also liaise with you in establishing targets, quarterly forecasts and profitability targets.
Finally this is working for a distribution company
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 - 3 years' experience working in Sales (Industry - Pharma) and/or Lab environment, ideally in Quality Control/Quality Assurance (Microbiology).
Proven track record within a sales environment. ideally industry but retail will be considered.
Comfortable in a cold calling position.
Self-driven, motivated and able to work alone with a clear focus on sales
Professional approach, self-motivated with a dynamic approach to business. Be accountable and have a can-do attitude.
Ability to work to a high standard - Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good Computer/IT Skills
Excellent face to face telephone for initial sales calls to completion of sales
Great presentation & communication skills to all levels of seniority
Full Driving License
