Our client is a leading name in Process and Laboratory Instrumentation systems and work with world leading organisations throughout the world. They have a market leading reputation for the quality of their instruments, sales support and service divisions and are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to support the growth of their strategic business partnerships.
This is a unique role that will focus heavily on the client relationships but the successful candidate must have a strong background knowledge selling Capital Instrumentation into at least one of their sectors. In addition the successful candidate will have a proven background building strong relationships with customers at all levels within an organisation from board level through to the shop floor and from technical through to procurement and accounts. You will have experience of working with very high value customers to win and retain business and will have a track record and providing innovative solutions to provide the customer with added value sales and services.
Included within your responsibilities will be to create and execute a winning BD plan for the target clients. Coordinate the sales and marketing effort and maintain a close working relationship with BDM’s and Sales Reps servicing the account. You’ll need to continually re-evaluate the plan and change strategic focus as required and lead negotiation of contractual or service agreements where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a science or engineering. They will have a proven track record of selling to major clients and delivering complex sales solutions based on the integration of a broad range of product and service support offerings. Specific experience selling into world leading Pharma and Biotech’s would be essential.
You will be based centrally in the UK and must be prepared to travel widely. You will be ambitious, determined with excellent communication and organisation skills. You’ll be able to take the lead role when required and be able to use influencing and negotiating skills to deliver winning solutions. A full UK driving license is essential.
