Fantastic opportunity for a Scientist/Engineer looking to escape the lab and move into a commercial focused Associate Project Manager role with strong links to Marketing and Business Development activities.

Our client is a globally recognised market leader in Medical Devices and are looking to strengthen their Marketing team by recruiting a Project Manager. This is an office based role from their UK headquarters in Bedfordshire and will support the growth and development of their OEM business proposition to their global partners.

The role would suit a Life Scientist or Engineer with a background working within the Medical Devices/Diagnostics or closely related. Candidates must be highly process driven and well organised. Your role will take responsibility for the delivery of OEM products to customer specifications. With a focus on the regulatory, manufacturing & marketing aspect you will work with 3rd party agencies and the head of OEM and Manufacturing Manager to deliver products to the design/design/marketing specifications of their clients. This role will have a great deal of customer interaction as you will be the main point of contact for all stakeholders in the project/product.

Applications are welcomed from degree qualified Life Scientists or Biomedical Engineers (or equivalent industry experience). As an alternative applications would be welcomed from candidates with previous experience in marketing of Medical Devices/Diagnostics. You will have some industry experience in a Medical Device/Diagnostics and will be looking to move into a Marketing or Business Development type role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will be able to work closely with people at all levels within an organisation. You will be a planner with strong organisation skills and will be highly process/flow orientated to achieve results.

To be successful in this role candidates will have a confident and determined character. An extremely high attention to detail is critical; as will somebody who enjoys taking accountability and responsibility for projects. Although you will be working/leading global project teams, this role will also require a degree of autonomous working so candidates must be confident in working independently and are able to make decisions when necessary but also seek guidance and approval where appropriate. Whilst office based, there will also be some travel involve so candidate will ideal hold a UK driving license.
