Life Science Sales Executive/Trainee (North West England & North Wales)

A world leading specialists in Life science high-throughput and automation instruments and technologies is looking to recruit a Life Science Sales Executive/Trainee to drive sales within the North West region. This exciting opportunity will be representing a company with a worldwide reputation for quality and innovation who targets the Life science, drug discovery, cell biology clinical/academic/research sectors. This position has developed as a result of excellent sustained company performance and strong growth and the successful candidate will join an established and high performing team who will provide support and development to the successful applicant.
The role will be home office based, but spending 3-4 days per week out with customers. You will live on territory, but ideally located within the broader Manchester to Liverpool area. It would suit an ambitious life scientist who is either looking to take their first step into a commercial sales environment or an experience Life Science Sales representative who is seeking a more specialist role selling high-value instrumentation.
Applications are welcome from individuals with a life science degree (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, biochemistry, genetics immunology etc..) or with equivalent lab experience. Higher degrees would be advantageous although not essential. A knowledge of lab automation, robotics or high-throughput techniques/instrumentation would be beneficial. You will have previous experience in a customer facing role, ideally sales or customer support and preferable with technical/scientific products (although this is not essential). The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a desire and aptitude to de successful in high value scientific sales environment. They will be a strong team player and will be able to work well with colleagues from a range of technical disciplines and provide a consultative and informed sale to customers. You will be a first class communicator, fluent in English (oral and written) with good presentation skills, able to develop strong rapport with customers but most importantly you must be able to use these skills to identify, develop and close sales opportunities. Resilience will be essential and applicants must have a commercial awareness and will be motivated by success/achievement.
As this is a field based role, a full UK driving license will be required and applicants must have UK right to work.
