Laboratory Technician, Microbiology

Our Client is the leader in Food Technology training and Development and provides scientific, technical and legislative support to the food, drink and allied industries.
Their services and expertise are in high demand throughout the industry and many of their clients are household names. The group operates from four sites in Europe and this opportunity would be based at their picturesque Worcestershire location.
An opportunity has arisen for a laboratory technician to work in their resistance and decontamination section which is part of the wider microbiology department to assist in carrying out project work within the laboratory.
You will be carrying out practical laboratory work as per protocols and procedures and ensure records are accurately and properly maintained. Due to the nature of the work carried out it is of course necessary to ensure that all equipment and logs are kept up to date and safety and experimental records well maintained.
You will also be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of media are available for the smooth running of the laboratory as well as carrying out laboratory tests and analyses as per ISO standards
This is a great opportunity for a Food Microbiology graduate or A level qualified graduate with a year of lab experience to join one of the best known food science experts in Europe.
You should have a passion for food and food safety and have great written and verbal communication skills
