Medical Writer Medical Communications

Summary / Heading
A leading global MedComms agency is looking for a Medical Writer to join their writing teams on a number of accounts, creating high-quality copy for a wide range of medical education material and publications as well as working on a number of events. This role offers opportunities over a variety of business units including oncology, respiratory and immunology.

You will be utilising excellent verbal and written communication skills to not only create and develop accurate scientific copy but also to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects. The Medical Writer will be working with leading international pharmaceutical clients and is expected to develop, deliver and review publications to budget and on time, effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders and contribute to pitches and business development opportunities while maintaining their knowledge of therapy areas and the commercial landscape.

Role / Description
Main Job Responsibilities:
Working to create and develop a range of publications.
Maintain a strong knowledge of therapy areas, client products and competitors.
Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Contribute to new business development proposals and pitches as appropriate.

Candidate Requirements:
MSc/PhD qualification (Life Sciences)
Strong relevant writing experience
1 year plus Medical Communications Agency experience.
Experience reviewing and editing the work of other writers.
Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience of working well under pressure.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations with experience of working to ABPI.
High level of organisation and time-management.
Pro-active and enthusiastic.
