Packaging Coordinator - Kent

CK Group are recruiting for a Packaging Coordinator to join a multi national company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Sandwich, Kent on a contract basis for 12 months.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
Interface globally with Supply Chain Leads and all other groups within or outside the supply chain required to bring a job to completion within Clinical Supply Packaging (CSP).
Act as a Project Manager to ensure that these activities are performed within agreed to timelines and that the final packaged output meets initial request parameters.
Work with the Supply Chain Lead (SCL) to review and interpret the clinical protocol to develop practical and efficient packaging designs for Clinical Supplies. Partner with the SCL to generate and approve the Clinical Packaging Request.
Using modules within the Current Approved Inventory Management system, design kit structures, model protocols, design labels, monitor and track the approval of country panels and generate packaging requests to enable the fulfillment of packaging operations, such that packaged materials can be shipped or transferred for distribution to clinical sites or depot holding areas.
Facilitate the use of Clinical Supply Distribution System for importing packaged inventory for distribution purposes.
Work with Inventory Management, Quality Assurance and Global Analytics to co-ordinate and drive the progress of the packaging operation to ensure timelines are met.
Manage multiple projects working with colleague Packaging Coordinators and master planner to resolve external packaging operation schedule conflicts and issues.
Analyse and manage internal/vendor deviations in partnership with Quality Assurance.
Review internal/contractor packaging and labelling documents making recommendations where appropriate to ensure compliance with Clinical Supply Packaging procedures, study requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice.
Generate purchase orders, ensure timely approval for vendor. Track project costs, receipt order and insure payment gets to the vendor by follow up with accounts payable when needed.
Keep current with all Good Manufacturing Practice training.
Support internal GMP audits/self inspections.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Degree (or equivalent) in Life Science degree or similar.
Strong experience in a clinical supply chain environment is essential.
Working knowledge of packaging clinical supplies to minimise time and cost while maintaining quality.
Extensive knowledge of clinical trial designs, packaging technologies and GMP documentation is required.
You will be proficient in using information systems.
Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
You will be articulate in both verbal and written communication.
Solid understanding of project management concepts and skills.
You will have the ability to routinely manage multiple projects working with various project teams.
Proven ability to negotiate and problem-solve
