Russell Oakley is recruiting for a Scientific Project Manager (Jnr PM) to join a global drug development company based in Cambridgeshire on a contract basis for 6 months in the first instance.
The main purpose of the role will be to
Supports administration of projects involving ensuring systems and reporting documentation is updated and escalates deadlines and outstanding actions to Project Manager.
Further responsibilities will include:
Creation, maintenance and management of PMG Purchase orders
Cyclical and ad-hoc report generation from Financial systems
Maintenance of AZ Project Management System PLANIT
Maintenance of trackers for invoices, vendor activities
Coordinates preparation of reports through gathering, analysing and summarizing data and information from the project team and systems
Compiles summary documents and distributes to the project team as required
Co-ordinates, collates and communicates information at the detailed level, possibly of a technical or statistical nature
Ensures the production of reports or analyses, to meet quality standards, and provides interpretation of data
Reconciles figures or information from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and follow-up on discrepancies
Prepares and/or edits meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and tables
Prioritize workload, and that of others as appropriate, to achieve personal and work unit targets
Tracks project changes and produces updated project based schedules as agreed with project management
Supports the preparation of a budget and forecast reports to ensure projects align with initial cost specifications
Responsible for gathering input from the business analysts and project managers to develop and maintain the detailed project plans
Ensures coordination of the different business areas involved on a project and ensures adherence to deadlines
Drives and manages small projects or subprojects and creates plans including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality assurance.
Identifies, controls and mitigates risk under the direction of a Project Manager
Manages interactions with diagnostic company partners for the franchise for smaller projects
Applies PPE project managements tools and processes to provide planning, budgets, resourcing and risk management, document management, taking a hands-on approach to drive business deliverables
Provides accurate project and portfolio information, metrics, scorecard tracking and updates and risk tracking.
Works with PMO to define requirements for early projects
Contribute to PMG process development and implementation
Participates in Operational Due Diligence for PMG partners and vendors
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Bachelor's of Science in an appropriate discipline
Evidence of excellent communication skills and building excellent relationships
Experience of effective working in multi-cultural teams
Understanding of principles, applications and management of Safety Health and Environment (SHE)
