Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Biocides - Yorkshire -£45k-£60k

A science and technology consultancy requires a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support its EU Biocides team. In addition to providing regulatory expertise to clients, you will also be responsible for client management, project delivery and business development. You will have significant regulatory experience with a detailed understanding of the biocides market.


Client management & delivery
*Plan, co-ordinate and deliver allocated work driving teams toward efficient and effective delivery, promoting client satisfaction and long-term client relationships
*Ensure regular communication with clients and the project team to ensure client requirements are understood and expectations are met
*Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current and future regulatory landscape
*Advise and support clients through the regulatory process, ranging from strategy, addressing EU data requirements throughout the evaluation and during the subsequent EU Peer Review Process
*Work alongside other members of the team and colleagues to provide advice and support to clients

Business development
*Actively participate in business development activities (including sales and marketing) including visiting clients across the EU
*Focus on new business creation activities, introducing the company's services, identify new project opportunities, discussing and responding to new project briefs.

Project guidance
*Support employees you are working with in relation to any project issues they may encounter
*Support members of your project team and colleagues in providing advice to clients
*Engage with and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver client outputs to agreed scope, expected quality levels and within deadlines. This includes geographically dispersed teams based in other countries Member States
*Strive for continuous improvements to the way we work, adapting to find solutions to issues

Corporate and business representation
*Represent your project team to your Business and to Science Group and represent the Business and Science Group to your project team
*Be a Champion of Excellence
*Translate corporate and business objectives into everyday activities and discussions
*Use your understanding of corporate and business objectives to guide and support your project team members
*Work with colleagues to foster a collaborative and cooperative environment not only within your business area but focusing also on developing links with other business areas in the Group


*A degree in relevant science subject e.g. chemistry, biology or microbiology or a relevant discipline
*Significant regulatory experience within the biocide market
*Good client relationship management skills
*Strong organisation skills
*Confident in leading and directing project work
*Ability to be flexible and able to accept and work with change
*A proactive, positive and enthusiastic "can do" attitude
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to effectively build working relationships with colleagues, clients and external contacts to promote the company's regulatory expertise
