A world leading speciality chemical manufacturing business is currently seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join their team in Rochdale on a permanent basis. You will play a key part in analysing raw materials/ formulated products whilst having the ability to plan, select and correctly apply analytical test methods to provide high quality data reports.
If you hold a degree level qualification in Chemistry accompanied with an extensive amount of experience using LCMS/GCMS instruments, a strong understanding of method development and able to interpret data independently - this represents a fantastic opportunity to further develop your career within analytical chemistry.
*To develop, maintain and supply analytical testing to meet customer needs.
*Plan work, select and correctly apply analytical test methods to provide high quality data reports.
*Recommend, develop and improve analytical methods.
*Maintain laboratory equipment where necessary and ensuring all documentation is compliant with ISO quality systems.
*Attend meetings when needed to provide clarity on analytical data produced.
*When required to provide support and deliver training to junior members of staff.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
*Degree qualification in Chemistry.
*Good working knowledge of the principles of the core instrumental analytical techniques in chromatography and spectroscopy.
*Possess a broad range of experience completing GCMS and LCMS techniques.
*The ability to confidently liaise with customers/clients.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Thorough knowledge of standard laboratory practices.
