Business Development Scientist - Chemistry - Instrumentation - Spectrometry - SE London - £35k + Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Business Development Professional / Account Manager or a Chemist who is looking to change their career focus, to be part of an ever-growing global scientific instrumentation company based in South East London. To be successful you will hold a chemistry (or closely related) degree and ideally possess commercial experience working within a technical or sales based scientific position.

Business Development Scientist Responsibilities:

1.Lead the scientific research of the business forwards into new and existing areas of application.
2.Initiate and undertake market research to monitor and assess developments within the current product range.
3.Utilise your industry & business knowledge to develop innovative ideas and solutions for customers.
4.Conceptualise and implement new services and expanded service offerings that address customers' current and emerging needs.
5.Plan and conduct advanced research for the purposes of design enhancement of new products.
6.Clear discussion and presentation of scientific data and findings.
7.Writing clear and concise technical reports.
8.Make recommendations and propose new, innovative research ideas.

Business Development Scientist Skills and Requirements:

1.A chemistry (or closely related) degree is required as a minimum qualification.
2.Experience with analytical instrument design, spectrometry or (MS) mass spectrometry would be highly advantageous.
3.Must be a motivated and self-starting individual capable of driving themselves and others to succeed in project goals as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
4.Capable of planning, progressing and delivering work; a highly motivated achiever and team player
5.Excellent communication skills; ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels
6.Well organised and adaptable, able to prioritise tasks accordingly.
