Analytical Chemist - HPLC - GCMS - Method Development - Chemicals - Permanent - Oxford - £Comp
A world leading speciality chemical manufacturing business is currently seeking an Analytical Chemist to join their team in Oxford on a permanent basis. You will play a key part in analytical method development for new components (HPLC/GCMS), maintenance of analytical equipment and provide technical expertise when required.
Analytical Chemist Responsibilities
*Analytical method development for new components including chromatography and spectroscopy.
*Routine analysis on raw chemical samples to ensure they comply with strict regulations and requirements.
*Advice and assistance to synthesis colleagues on analytical method development with third-party analytical service providers.
*Ensure smooth operation of laboratory analytical equipment within quality control parameters.
*Trouble-shooting issues with analytical methods and equipment.
*Carry out or co-ordinate with external providers the maintenance of analytical equipment.
Analytical Chemist Requirements
*You must possess a degree qualification in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or closely related field of study.
*Possess a strong background in analytical problem solving (theoretical & practical) ideally from the chemical industry.
*An excellent working knowledge and industrial experience in method development & validation of analytical equipment including HPLC, GCMS and GPC.
*Ability to undertake maintenance and calibration on equipment within the analytical facility.
*Experience working with minimal supervision in a commercial laboratory and understands the importance of EHS practices.
*Excellent communication and literature skills.
*Strong track record of technical problem solving (theoretical & practical)
