S&OP Manager - Switzerland

Alex Tosney is recruiting for a Sales and Operations Planning Manager to work within a marketing subsidiary of a research-based global pharmaceutical leader that develops pharmaceutical preparations for pain relief, gynaecology, neurology, psychiatry and virology. The S&OP Manager will be working at their state of the art site in Zug, Switzerland, on a permanent basis.  This client is offering an opportunity be involved in pioneering projects that are truly making a difference to peoples lives everyday, worldwide
The main purpose of the S&OP Manager serve as the main point of contact regarding all S&OP matters

Further responsibilities of this S&OP Manager position will include:
• Participating as a key member in each step of the monthly S&OP process to help facilitate/executive decision-making regarding forecast risks, impact of demand on operations and inventory levels, and the impact to customer service
• Preparing for and facilitating regular S&OP cycles, including strategic end to end process reviews with organizational executives on demand/supply plans, issues, and mitigating actions
• Leading and collaborating across departments and functions on strategies to improve S&OP process
• Leading improvement projects as necessary
• Working with Marketing teams during planning cycles, developing monthly iterative process to understand sales trends and identify adjustments for the S&OP meetings
• Engaging with Supply Chain teams to identify potential gaps in meeting proposed consensus forecast
• Partnering with various functions involved in NPI/Ds to ensure new and discontinued products are included in planning activities at the appropriate time in the development lifecycle
• Identifying gaps between current plans and financial dedications, derive possible gap closing initiatives and highlight the risks and opportunities

As a S&OP Manager, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• Bachelor's degree required in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field. Graduate coursework and certification in APICS/IBF desirable
• Wide-ranging experience in Sales, Demand Planning and/or Sales & Operation Planning
• Prior management experience, ideally with a Global / Regional team
• Demonstrated success in leading large, complex projects
• Able to communicate effectively across functions, cultures and levels of the organization, securing positive outcomes despite conflicting objectives
• Previous experience in assisting with the establishment of company policies, operational objectives, and work plans that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect
• Able to implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Working knowledge of ERP and planning systems; SAP (and BW) preferred
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook
• International travel to regional offices required
