Project Assistant – Cosmetics Development

Our client is an organisation that is developing technology to address aspects of skin protection and repair. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in and support the development of the company’s cosmetic products. The post holder will perform a critical role as the main point of contact between the external parties and the management team.

Job description

• Provide proactive support to the company and its external collaborators in all aspects of project delivery

• Ensure all parties are aware of project activities, milestones, deliverables and due dates well in advance of deadlines;

• Organize participation in meetings, calls etc. nationally and internationally;

• Development of project management plans and budgets according to internal and external requirements;

• Set up, manage and maintain documentation systems (including version control)

• Ensure that all involved parties have access to the correct document according to the level of their involvement and the relevant confidentiality policy;

• Develop and implement office and data systems to ensure the effective management of project data;

• Review, edit and maintain an electronic archive of all project documents before and after review by the relevant parties;

• Facilitate effective interaction between the company and external parties

• Be the central administrative point of reference for the Cosmetic programme

• Resolve and respond to all initial queries on behalf of the external collaborators

• Identify priorities and brief on correspondence received and action taken or required;

• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for various documents (scientific manuscripts, lab books, technical protocols) and collection and upgrading of bibliographic references;

• Schedule, organize and service group meetings between the company and external parties

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a biological science or equivalent and have experience in working in the Life sciences industry.

You will have

• Proven problem solving skills and an ability to take a strong and positive proactive approach to work underpinned by a flexible attitude;

• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken;

• Excellent organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail and good proof-reading skill;

• Proven excellence in document management.

Role: Permanent

Location: North West England

Salary: Up to £25,000
