Applications Specialist/Service Engineer – Lab instrumentation
Location: NW London
Salary: competitive plus bonus

Our International client is synonymous with Chemistry Lab Instrumentation and following a period of exceptional growth they have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Specialist to join their London based team to provide high quality customer service and instrument support to their clients across the scientific sector. This is a key position and the successful candidate will take responsibility for maintaining the company’s reputation for providing very high standards of service support and would suit an Applications Specialist/Service Engineer who is looking for a customer focused position. In addition to office based activities this position will also include significant travel to client’s sites to support installations, calibration, routine maintenance, emergency repair and product demonstrations and will also include exhibiting at key industry shows & events.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation. Ideally they will graduate level (or with equivalent industry experience) in an electronic or mechanics based discipline with at least 12 months industry/research experience. They will have excellent communication skills; be fluent in English (written & oral) and will be confident at explaining technical issues clearly. Candidates must have strong IT skills and ideally have a clean UK driving license. They must be able to commit to 40% travel with occasional overnight stays.
