Mary Bolt is recruiting for a Medical Affairs Manager to join a global pharmaceutical company committed to contributing to better healthcare at their site based in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
-Support the business unit in the medical aspects of market development activities and partnership management and establish and maintain a high level of familiarity with the products supplied in the business unit's region.
-Work in close collaboration with the medical teams in other business units and Medical Information in EMEA as well as medical teams in other business regions such as Asia, Japan, and Americas if needed.
-Work with partners, providing knowledge and expertise, liaising/networking with external specialists and other HCPs including sourcing and gaining relevant approvals for international speakers, supporting scientific meetings, giving lectures/seminars, conducting training, copy approval of materials via Zinc® and assisting with handling medical/scientific questions from HCPs in the business unit sub region.
Further responsibilities will include:
-Oversight of medical processes including SOPs, updating internal databases, maintenance of Medical Information contact list, lobbying for sites in clinical studies as well as close liaison with Pharmacovigilance and Compliance teams.
-Establish and maintain a high level of familiarity with local, European, and international regulations and guidance relating to medical affairs.
-Oversight of supply of unregistered products including obtaining MAC approval, maintaining a database of relevant unregistered supply regulations and MAC approvals and preparation of annual reports as required.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Educated to degree level or above in life science or a related field and ideally a Pharmacist or medically qualified with final signatory status.
-Significant experience of working within Medical Affairs and ideally across international markets.
-The ability to work consistently, conforming to procedures and requirements yet possess a degree of flexibility in order to meet the various demands and priorities.
-Possess a strong sense of responsibility and have a good track record of working independently and meeting strict deadlines.
