The Company:
This innovative Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) specialise in experimental medicine for CNS disorders and obesity, providing products and services for pharmaceutical clients developing novel therapies for the treatment of disabling CNS conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and cognitive disorders. They are now expanding into the healthcare sector, starting a major development programme to conduct clinical research across Europe of a novel medical device to improve the treatment of depression. As a result they have come to Clinical Professionals to recruit a graduate clinical data analyst with the skills and drive to support this innovative and exciting initiative. This role is critical within the team and will allow the right person to develop and progress (previous graduate placements have excelled here and are now in more senior positions). A great opportunity for someone to come in and really make a positive impact on the business and their career!

The role:
* To discuss information needs with internal staff and/or external clients
* To design, develop, test and support data collection and data processing systems / tools
* To provide training and support on data collection and data processing systems / tools
* To monitor and maintain the quality of data systems / tools
* To collect, process and collate data for use in databases
* To generate reports using IT / database systems and assist in their analysis

Skills and expertise:
* A Bachelor`s Degree in a IT/Data/Science based degree (2:1 or above)
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
* A concern for quality, attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to analyse and think logically
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Good working knowledge of Excel
* Knowledge of database systems
* Knowledge of programming languages (Visual Basic, Web application development)
* Good organisational and administrative skills
