BSTL ltd specialises in performing a wide range of testing of parenteral pharmaceutical drug products to support both hospital pharmacists and home healthcare companies. We achieve this by providing extended stability data, information on extractables and leachables from different container systems and microbiological integrity data for different container systems.
We are also experts in testing and evaluation of a range of medical device technologies including closed system transfer devices (CSTDs) as well as other devices around the parenteral drug preparation and administration space.
In addition to parenteral drug and medical device testing BSTL now offers a range of tailored services to support surface monitoring of cytotoxic residues. This provides an assessment of contamination levels in both the pharmacy aseptic compounding areas and on the ward environments fulfilling the latest requirements of the Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services: Standards. Part A. Fifth Edition 2016. BSTL provides testing services for the newly introduced Neuraxial syringes and syringe caps in accordance with the latest UK PASG guidance documents and pharmaceutical testing requirements to support drug storage in these syringes including syringe integrity testing in accordance with NHS Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Committee 2013 guidance (yellow cover) document.
